DJI released new smartphone gimbal OM 4

DJI – a Chinese technology company that is the dominant market leader in the civilian drone industry and camera stabilizer released the new phone stabilizer named DJI OM 4. DJI OM 4 comes with upgraded magnetic mounts and claims to simplify the entire shooting experience.

The OM4 keeps the same foldable design as Osmo Mobile 3 but it now comes with two magnetic mounts so you can quickly attach and detach your phone without needing to clamp it down and rebalance it. One magnetic mount is a clamp that wraps around your phone, while the second one attaches to the back of your phone and doubles as a finger ring so you can get a better grip with one hand.

The new DJI OM 4 gimbal features the same 3-axis gimbal like the DJI Osmo Mobile 3. OM4 also retains the same intuitive button layout and the same 15-hours battery. DJI also claims the OM4 is slightly lighter and smaller than the Osmo Mobile 3 and comes with upgraded motors. This means you can now mount heavier phones to DJI OM 4 compared to the DJI Osmo Mobile 3.

ActiveTrack 3.0 lets you follow your subject, offering smart recognition and high-precision tracking. DJI says the new gimbal is also better at tracking people and it can differentiate between adults, children, and pets as well.

Gesture Control lets you take a picture or video with just a simple gesture. Dynamic Zoom which is formerly called dolly zoom, works by digitally zooming in on a subject while walking backward or zooming out while walking forward. This feature produces impressive shot without you having to do any complicated editing.

DJI OM 4 also has a 3×3 Pano mode that combines nine images into a super-wide-angle shot. You don’t need any post-processing – just select the mode and shoot.

CloneMe Pano is an intelligent mode introduced in OM 4 that places you in several locations of your shot. This feature creates an epic panorama shot that pauses in between each shot to let you strike a different pose.

OM 4 also produces a stunning 240° panorama image that captures a wide-view of your subject. Whether you’re capturing mountains, the sea, or anything around you, give 240° Pano a go!

SpinShot is a super cool feature that rotates your phone while you capture a video, producing a unique and fun shot.

DJI OM 4 makes every second count with Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Hyperlapse.

OM 4 also uses same DJI Mimo App.

The cost of DJI OM4 is $149 and additional $20 for DJI Care refresh 2 year plan.
