Apple unveiled the new Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 8

The updated Apple Watch SE offers the essential features of the Apple Watch at a lower starting price.

Apple unveiled the new Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 8, bringing ground-breaking performance and technology to the two best-selling smartwatches as well as significant safety advancements. The popular Apple Watch design is included in Apple Watch Series 8, which has a sizable, Always-On Retina display and a sturdy, crack-resistant front crystal. Apple Watch Series 8 expands on industry-leading health and safety features like the ECG app and fall detection by adding temperature-sensing capabilities, retroactive ovulation estimations, Crash Detection, and international roaming. It also boasts an all-day 18-hour battery life.

At a lower cost of $249, the new Apple Watch SE provides the essential features of the Apple Watch, such as Activity tracking, high and low heart rate notifications, and Emergency SOS, in addition to the new Crash Detection feature and a completely redesigned back case that perfectly matches the three classic case finishes (US). Both devices run watchOS 9, which includes new and more configurable watch faces including Lunar and Metropolitan, sleep phases, an improved Workout app, a first-of-its-kind AFib History feature, and an entirely redesigned Medications app.
