In a move to make electric vehicles more accessible, G.O. Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has introduced a new financing offer for the MG Comet EV. The scheme allows customers to purchase the electric hatchback by paying an EMI equivalent to Rs. 520 per day.

The daily payment adds up to Rs. 15,535 per month, providing a budget-friendly alternative for those looking to own a personal vehicle. The company claims that the monthly installment is lower than the regular expense of commuting by taxi or employing a private driver.

Speaking on the occasion, Akash Golchha, Managing Director of G.O. Automobiles, said the company wants to simplify the transition to electric mobility by making ownership more affordable. He added that the MG Comet EV is ideal for Nepal’s urban environment, offering an efficient, comfortable, and stylish driving experience while reducing day-to-day transportation costs.

Available at a starting introductory price of Rs. 18.75 lakh, the MG Comet EV is equipped with a 17.3 kWh battery and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). The electric hatchback delivers a certified driving range of up to 230 km on a single charge.

Developed on MG’s dedicated EV platform, the four-seater is designed for city use, combining compact exterior dimensions with a spacious interior. Its easy maneuverability, low operating costs, and practical design make it a suitable choice for everyday urban commuting.

According to G.O. Automobiles, the introduction of the new EMI plan reflects its ongoing efforts to promote electric vehicle adoption in Nepal by offering flexible and affordable ownership options.

The daily payment amounts to a monthly EMI of Rs 15,535, which the company believes is less than what many urban commuters spend on ride-sharing services or hiring drivers for regular travel. The initiative is intended to encourage more people to shift from conventional transportation to electric mobility.

Priced from Rs 18.75 lakh, the MG Comet EV is already one of Nepal’s most affordable electric cars, and the introduction of this flexible financing plan further lowers the entry barrier for first-time EV buyers.
