BYD has introduced the 2026 version of Atto 1 (also known as Seagull or mini-Dolphin) in some markets, bringing a range of upgrades aimed at improving technology, comfort, and overall driving experience. A key addition to the new model is the availability of BYD’s advanced “God’s Eye B” (DiPilot 300) intelligent driving system. Featuring LiDAR technology, the system delivers enhanced driver assistance capabilities, making sophisticated autonomous features more accessible in the affordable electric vehicle segment.

The refreshed exterior receives a modern touch with newly designed LED taillights, fresh paint options, and stylish 16-inch Starlight alloy wheels. Despite the visual updates, the compact hatchback retains its city-friendly dimensions, measuring 3,780 mm long with a 2,500 mm wheelbase. Under the hood, the ‘Atto 1’ is powered by a 55 kW electric motor producing 135 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Customers can choose between two battery packs: a 30.08 kWh unit delivering a claimed range of 305 km and a larger 38.88 kWh battery capable of travelling up to 405 km on a full charge.

The interior has also been refreshed with a new “Oatmeal Rice” color scheme and a larger 12.8-inch floating infotainment display running the latest DiLink 150 software. Premium features such as wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat further enhance cabin comfort. On the safety front, the model is equipped with an upgraded suite of driver assistance technologies, including driver monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and improved onboard recording functions.
